Tuesday this week me and my good friend Nadia attended a Topshop personal shopping event, at Gusto restaurant in Manchester.
I have never been to anything like this, so i wanted to see what the deal was. It cost us £25 each and upon arrival we each received a glass of Presecco *lovely.*
We were then shown into a private dining room were 3 beautifully dressed Topshop employees stood with a rack full of the latest trends. One employee in particular took my eye as she was wearing a stunning dress/shirt. As you can see below and HERE.
The trio explained to us where they were from (Topshop Manchester Arndale) and their job role (Personal shoppers) they asked if any of us had ever used the Personal shopper service that Topshop offer and as non of us had explained how it worked.
So you book in for an hour slot per person, maximum of 3 people and you tell the shopper your sizes and your style preferences and if you want to try anything new, whether it is for work, day wear or a party. You then turn up to your appointment and they have picked out a whole selection of clothes for you to try on. If anything doesn’t fit, they run out and get you the right size, its a FREE no obligation service, so if your not feeling it, no pressure to purchase anything. They will also throw in a few things that you might not necessarily have picked out for yourself but look amazing.
They went on then to tell us about the massive jeans collection they have, what styles flattered what figures. These are two that stood out, for my not so skinny, curvy frame. MOM Jeans and a Skinny Jamie jean.

We also got a Magazine all about the latest spring trends and what goes well with what and a free gift, Which was actually worth £10!
The Glow stick in Spotlight, Its a really nice Highlighter. Goes onto my skin really well. Beautiful shade and a great gift!
After this we were shown to our tables and got a gorgeous 2 course meal, which was all included in the £25. It was a set menu but that by no means meant that we were short on choice, I had the Rigatoni Primavera with winter vegetables, pine nuts and crème fraiche which was stunning! For desert i had a chocolate, pistachio and clementine mess.
The restaurant itself is in an Art deco style. Very classy. The sort of place that you can go and have a meal with family and loved ones and feel relaxed but also like your treating yourself, if that makes sense. I have been to the restaurant itself a few times and its always been wonderful. Great food, great drinks and great service! Here is a link to the Restaurant, you need to go…
Anyway so here is a picture of a jacket that me and Nadia are going to be arguing over when we go to our own personal shopping appointment!
Much love 🙂
